Strengthen your memory at SEC Care
SEC Care is currently looking for Expressions of Interest for participants who have a diagnosis of dementia or experience mild to moderate memory loss to participate in a program designed to improve memory.
The program is based on the principles of Cognitive Stimulus Therapy and will consist of two 45 minute sessions per week for seven weeks, involving a range of activities that cover topics such as food, current affairs, family, using money and word games.
Sessions will be run in small groups with refreshments provided. The cost to participate is yet to be determined, but it will be minimal to the participant.
This type of therapy has had positive outcomes for participants in similar programs, empowering people to have greater control over their world. To find out more or to register your interest, please contact our Programs Coordinator, Sacha, on 6269 1260.
